Energy Tree

Large scale square canvas which is a part of Nestor collaboration with Ethica Coffee Roasters. This piece is about desire and what drives us as human beings. The idea is shown through these quotes:

– A man doesn’t need brilliance or genius, all he needs is energy.
– Our energy is in proportion to the resistance it meets.
– Energy will do anything that can be done in the world; and no talents, no circumstances, no opportunities will make a two-legged animal a man without it.
– When you are enthusiastic about what you do, you feel this positive energy. It’s very simple.

The overall composition imitates a silhouette of a tree in a simplified approach. The image of a tree was picked as a traditional representation of energy. Flowing characters create dynamic movement in such a static composition.
