This is a spontaneous conceptual project exploring calligraphy as an art direction in the new perspective. The one that doesn’t have boundaries for letters and therefore, viewers can understand hand-lettered characters differently. Explore how letters interact with the space around them without disrupting it. And vice versa, how space around the characters can affect the whole perception of the piece.
At Cube Studios
The goal of this project was to continue exploring neon calligraphy in a different environment with a different setting. This time we got an opportunity to explore light painting inside the proper studio called “Cube Studio” with an interesting prop, an Acura NSX. Again, we used Astera lights to paint all glyphs, highlight the car below and inside, and as for the smaller car outlines we used a regular headlamp.
